WHY I PAINT LANDSCAPES
I love a phrase of the artist Lute Vink, “stand in awe by the natural beauty of our planet Earth”. I truly feel the same. For me, trying to represent nature is a challenge that never ends. I think the best way to paint nature is to be in the middle of it, filled with its colors, smells, textures, watching the changing light and its interaction with the elements.
I have traveled widely, always looking for new ideas. It is not a matter of just documenting nature, but the challenge of representing it, turning it into a unique work of art where my own inner vision expresses itself.
